31/01/2024 This morning, I went to the 3D workshop to complete the laser cutting. In the process, I through the TROTEC software to send the document to the machine. However, one of the pieces is completely fit with the wood panel, which has no space for laser cutting. Therefore, Peter took a risk to do an experiment with me. Fortunately, the wood panel cut perfectly. Last but not least, I feel grateful in the working process that Peter gave a lot of support and patience in teaching me how to use the machine, so  that I could complete the wood panel on time. After that, I have the first meeting with the marketing team, mainly discussing the promotion material and briefly introducing our art pieces. In the meeting, we focused on the details of the posters, which needed to include the tagline, time, location, EPA website, and logo. Wood panel process

30/01/2024 Before starting the painting, I plan to create an hourglass-shaped canvas that fits the shape of the baby. So, I asked David for details on how to make such a canvas. However, he informed me that the machine was not big enough to cut the wood panel as required. He suggested that I should use a ready-made wood panel, which would reduce the working process of wrapping fabric around it. Furthermore, David also recommended that I should visit a laser cut workshop, where they could easily create an hourglass-shaped wood panel for me. Afterwards, I visited the 3D workshop to use the laser cutting machine. However, I found out that the machine was not able to cut a shape larger than 100cm*60cm, even though my wood panel was 100cm*130cm. Therefore, I had to divide the wood panel into four smaller pieces to fit the machine's maximum capacity. Peter was very patient and helpful in teaching me how to use Adobe Illustrator to create a vector file for the laser cutting process.
